Tents and Trains

Last weekend we went camping.  The campground was close and really beautiful.

I love camping.  I love cooking our food over the fire.

The camp spot was a rock throw from the lake.  We went fishing.  I have decided there is no fish in this lake!
I could hardly wait to roast marshmellows.  When we went grocery shopping, I picked out the giant mellows!

In the morning we made oatmeal and hot chocolate.  I slept great, once I settled down and went to sleep.  However, we learned something about the campground: it is by a train track.  There is a train track that goes over the lake.  Every hour a train would roll over it.  You could hear it coming for fifteen minutes, and then it would seem like the train was right out side your tent!  It was incredibly loud.  I slept through it, but Mom and Dad did not.
 I wanted my picture taken.

On the second day we decided not to stay the night, but just spend the evening.

I love camping!

Tennessee Trip

While Matthew and Lisa babysat me, Mom and Dad went to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smoky Mountains.  They went to alot of shops and had a great time.
The did a little hike in the Smokies

On our way home we stopped in Chickamauga at the battlefield.  There was tons to see, so we might have to go back one day when we aren't so tired.

There were monuments all over the battlefield.  We didn't see half of them I am guessing.

Tennessee

A couple of weekends ago, we all went to Tennessee.  Matthew helped document my experience here: http://hunkofburninlove.blogspot.com/2011/10/weekend-in-tennessee.html
