Sister

Mom had a doctor's appointment and an ultrasound.  The baby was too curled up to see its head or if it was a boy or a girl, so we went away not knowing.

But Mom didn't want to wait another month until her next appointment, so we went to a fetal photo place.  And guess what?  I am going to have a sister!  That is what I wanted.

Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Today the Easter Bunny came to preschool.  At first I was nervous.
But soon I was ok and was asking him questions like if he had a wife.
We had a breakfast with the Easter Bunny, then we went outside and found the eggs he hid.

Lots of Posts

There were a lot of posts about our Golden Isles trip.  Make sure you start at the first one and work up.  You will need to go to older posts to see them all.

Lover's Oak

On Saturday evening, I finally fell asleep in the car.  Mom and Dad let me sleep and drove around Historic Downtown Brunswick.
They found Lover's Oak.  Legend has it that Indian lovers once met under the enormous limbs of this tree which is nearly a millennium old.
Once again, pictures don't do these trees justice.  They are just so massive.

St. Simon's Beach

We tried out a beach on St. Simon Island.  We got there at low tide, so there was a lot to see on the beach.  There were so many star fish!  Dad and Mom rescued them and threw them back in the water.  We also saw jelly fish and live sand dollars.

My favorite thing about this beach was flying my kite.

I ran up and down the beach.
I also learned how to do tricks and make it dip close to the ground.
When I got tired of running, I just sat down and flew it.

Sea Turtle Center

On Jekyll Island there is a Sea Turtle Center.  It has medical facilities for injured sea turtles.  All the turtles here are sick or hurt.

They kept the turtles in big tubs.  One turtle had lost its front flipper.

Jekyll Island Beach

We spent a lot of time just hanging out on the beach.  We found a spot that we really liked on Jekyll Island.  So these are all the pictures from various days at that spot.

This was fun until the wave went over my head.

Run out of the water, run back in.

I love my name in the sand!
 Dad being silly.
 Lots of picnics.
 Whoa hole!

I took a picture of Mom to remind everyone that she was there too!

Jekyll Island's Driftwood Beach

On Friday morning we went to Jekyll Island's Driftwood Beach.  This place was Mom's favorite.
Mom has learned that if she lets me take pictures with her camera, I will pose for more.
We got there about 8:30 am so the tide was really low.

The beach was littered with tons of fun things!  There were a lot of jelly fish, all types of shells. . .
and Dad found this big shell, but there was a big slimy thing still living in it, so we put it back in the water.

We even saw three dolphins right off the coast.  They were really close!
