What I've Been Up to this Summer

Mom tries to keep me busy so I stay out of trouble.  Here is what I have been up to this summer.  (Sorry, some of the picture are from the phone camera.)
 Snake bubbles
Swim lessons.  Look at my death grip on Mrs. Jaclyn.

Pictures of myself
Swimming in the pool Mimi bought me
Making crafts at the craft table Grandma Caylinn bought me.
Going to dollar movies with Mom and friends.  Puss and Boots has been my favorite.
 Painting bird houses
 Drawing self-portraits.
 Making bird feeders
 Drawing Mom
Painting plates
 Local carnivals
Breaking ice with a hammer to get toys out
Car rides with hot dogs and slurpees

More paper plate painting (quite the hit right now)

 Catch Air with friends

Taking treats and lunch to Dad's work

 Swimming with Dad

 Getting big muscles

Making muffins and blowing out candles

Happy Father's Day

Mom and I got Daddy a grill for Father's Day.  I kept it a secret for a full 5 hours.  I love my Daddy very much.  I love when he comes home so I can crawl all over him.

We interrupt this vacation . . .

When we went to Northern Georgia we rented a van since ours needs to go into the shop.   Sometime in the swapping of vehicles on the way home, Yellow Dog got lost.  Really lost.  We didn't notice until later that night when I wanted to go to sleep.  Where was Yellow Dog?  How was I supposed to sleep without him?  Lots of tears.  We looked everywhere for him.  After awhile, Dad drove all the way back to the restaurant and to the rental car place.  No sign of Yellow Dog.  I finally cried myself to sleep.
-
The next morning there were more tears.  Mom hadn't slept a wink.  I explained to Mom that I didn't feel like myself without Yellow Dog; and, I would never be happy again.  Tears and more tears.  Our little family went for another ride to see if we could find Yellow Dog.  We asked the owners of all the shops if someone turned him in.  I even showed them a picture of what he looked like.  No one had seen him.
-
Mimi, Michelle and Charlotte came over.  They wanted to do something that would make me happy.  I suggested swimming.  When we were loading stuff into the van, Daddy thought to look in the most unlikely of places - where the car jack is kept.  And guess who was in there? Yellow Dog!  Oh yeah, I forgot I put him in there when everyone was changing cars.
-
We went swimming, and then later the girls went to the American Girl store.  Then we had Michelle's magic lasagna for dinner.  (Mimi and Michelle were really nice, they made freezer meals for when Mommy has the baby.  Now we won't have to eat cereal every night.)
-
That night was a much better one.

Day 3

We will start this post by showing how cute I am with Mimi's hair.  Mimi was always a good sport for me.  She would take off her hair and leg for me whenever I asked.
On Tuesday we headed to northern Georgia.  When we stopped at a gas station I got some boiled peanuts.  That kept me occupied for the entire hour ride.
Of course I had to be the photographer....
When we got to Amicalola Falls it was raining like crazy.  Only Daddy, Michelle, and Charlotte went.  (I will post those pictures when Aunt Michelle sends them to me... hint, hint, hint.)
On our way to Helen, we stopped at the silliest place in Georgia, Babyland.

We went to Helen and had a picnic and then went through the shops.  I got my traditional carmel apple.
We also went to Goats on the Roof.  I was big enough this time to pedal the food up to the goats.

We stopped at Daddy's favorite BBQ place Williamson Brothers on the way home.  Lucky Charlotte got to eat whatever she wanted, which was lemons and pickles.

Mimi, Michelle, and Charlotte Visit -Day 1 & 2

Day 1

Mimi, Michelle, and Charlotte came to Georgia to visit us.  We just took it easy on Sunday since they had to travel all Saturday.  We did take a drive to Red Top Mountain.  They also got to experience the Georgia heat when the air conditioning at our house went out.

Day 2

The weather did not cooperate most of the time they were here.  We took them to Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield.  Rain, rain, rain.  We drove to the top of the mountain, but all we could see were clouds.

The rain stopped for awhile so we went to the Confederate Cemetery in Marietta.
I was in charge of taking pictures most the time.
I wanted to make sure my finger was in this picture so you knew it was me behind the camera.

After Daddy got off work, we went to Lake Allatoona for a BBQ and to play at the beach.

Charlotte loved playing (and drinking) in the lake.

Moving

We decided that a year of apartment life was enough for us.  With a new baby on the way, we wanted to move into a house.  So for the past while we have been packing and moving.  We aren't done yet, we still have a long way to go.

I was in charge of taking apart the table.  I did a great job!

End of School

About two weeks ago was my last day of preschool.  We had a big Hawaiian party.
This is my favorite preschool friend Santi.  We are pretty silly together.  I hope we are in the same class next year.
I sure will miss Ms. Alyssa.  She was a great teacher and I learned a lot this year.  I always loved going to preschool!
